Anthony Elanga reacts on Morgan Gibbs-White transfer plea following Nottingham Forest message

Morgan Gibbs-White has been a key player for Nottingham Forest as they secured Premier League safety

Morgan Gibbs-White has praised Nottingham Forest fans for their support throughout a turbulent season.

Within an hour of the Reds’ season-ending 2-1 triumph over Burnley, the 24-year-old took to social media to reflect on what has been a tremendous campaign.

The forward played the entire 90 minutes at Turf Moor, where Chris Wood scored twice to keep Forest six points clear of the relegation zone.

Soon later, he sent a message to supporters on Instagram and X, saying: “What a season! Full of ups and downs, but one constant has been your unwavering support. We can’t thank you all enough for your love and belief in us. “What a city! What a club!”

Gibbs-White played 37 Premier League games this season, scoring six goals and providing ten assists.

However, teammate Anthony Elanga prompted alarm among several respondents when he wrote: “Loved playing with you bro,” leaving fans wondering if it was a typo, a joke, or an indication the former Wolves member was going on.

One responded, ‘Pls don’t leave,’ while others implored Gibbs-White to stay at the City Ground.

That comes after Gibbs-White was linked with a summer move to Tottenham, which Brennan Johnson made a year ago. Gibbs-White has three years remaining on his contract, which he signed in 2022.
