Jones has dominated the Double-A ranks, batting.279 with a.810 OPS and hitting 20 home runs in 573 at-bats. Jones, on the other hand, has a 155-128 strikeout-to-hits ratio, indicating that he has space to improve that shortcoming in his game.
It remains to be seen how far Schenk can push Jones as a hitter, but if his track record with Judge is any indication, he can fine-tune Jones’ mechanics and help him connect on a variety of pitches at a higher rate, leading up to his scheduled Yankees debut in just under two years.
