Yankees’ Newly Signed Star Has A Peculiar Mission For The 2024 Season.

A 25-year-old, already has 160 career home runs, and an astonishing 157 OPS+ for his career. How good is that 157 OPS+? It puts him three spots behind Stan Musial and three spots ahead of Hank Aaron. Yeah, I’d say that’s pretty good.

So, what is Juan Soto’s goal this season? An American League East Title? The first World Series appearance for the Yankees since before iPads were released? None of the above. Instead, Soto wants to hit a home run in all the ballparks he hasn’t in his career so far.

Actually, he only needs five. Here they are.

All of them are in the American League, and he’s been in the National League so far in his career with the Nationals and the Padres. It seems like that’s an attainable goal, but probably unlikely.

New York opens their season on the road against the hated Astros on March 28.
