Yankees Legend Welcomes Juan Soto in the City

The first major splash of the MLB offseason has come from the New York Yankees.

A lot of people were curious about the changes the Yankees would make to their roster.

The Yankees, who have one of the largest payrolls in baseball, went out and signed another star.

Juan Soto will be sent to New York as a result of an agreement reached by the Yankees and San Diego Padres.

After this upcoming season, Soto will become a free agent with one year left on his contract.

Nevertheless, the Yankees have to be certain that they can sign Soto again.

Soto has always been a fan of Derek Jeter, the Yankee legend.

In an MLB Twitter video, Soto purchased a Jeter jersey from the league store in the hopes that Jeter would sign it.

In response, Jeter said, “See you at Yankee Stadium,” to Soto.

Now that he is a Yankee, it is safe to assume Soto will be able to get his Jeter jersey signed.

The MLB was completely upended by this move.

After a disappointing season, the Yankees are once again a serious contender.

They have one of baseball’s best one-two punches in Soto and Aaron Judge.

Furthermore, Yankee Stadium ought to be ideal for Soto’s style of hitting.

He should be able to record the most home runs of his career thanks to right field’s short porch.

For this team, anything less than a deep playoff run would be disappointing.

Seeing how Soto performs in his first season in pinstripes will be interesting to watch.
