WR was elevated to active roster for Week 12

The Indianapolis Colts promoted wide receiver D.J. Montgomery from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Montgomery, who stands 6-1 and weighs 201 pounds, has spent the entire season on the team’s practice squad. He attended training camp with the Colts after signing as a free agent with the organization on August 18, 2023.
Montgomery formerly played for the Michigan Panthers of the USFL before joining the Indianapolis Colts. He spent last season on the Houston Texans’ practice squad after spending 2022 training camp with the Colts.
Montgomery spent 2021 on the active roster and practice squad of the New York Jets. He appeared in three games, catching three catches for 36 yards (12.0 average). Montgomery spent time on the Jets’ practice squad in 2020. As a rookie in 2019, he spent the whole season on the Injured Reserve list with the Cleveland Browns. Montgomery was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Browns on May 3, 2019.
