Winger ready for permanent transfer to Leicester as manager believes no room for one striker

A loanee Leicester City winger is reportedly set for a permanent move to the King Power Stadium.

In addition to speaking on the subject, Foxes of Leicester believe that LCFC manager Enzo Maresca has effectively stated that there is no room for one striker in Leicester squads. Meanwhile, the east Midlands side may receive an on-field boost as they prepare to face Leeds United.

I believe that almost all Leicester fans will be happy with this information. Abdul Fatawu is expected to finalize a formal transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Leicester City. The loan contract apparently included a €17 million clause, which FoL considered to be a reasonable sum.

The Ghanaian has a good fan base at Filbert Way to match his occasionally eye-catching displays and output. Happily, Fatawu has already indicated a desire to test himself in the greatest division available with the Foxes, when the club hopes to return to the Premier League in 2024/25.

One Leicester City centreforward will be severely disappointed soon – but which one, and what does this portend for the future?
Leicester presently has four strong and dangerous strikers on its roster. The renowned Jamie Vardy, the speedy Patson Daka, the occasionally impactful Kelechi Iheanacho, and new arrival Tom Cannon. However, Maresca claims that one will be left out of matches and will not even be on the substitutes’ bench. This should spell a summer exit for one Fox, most likely Iheanacho.

“For the first time this season, Maresca had all four of his strikers available and viable starting options against Middlesbrough on Saturday.” However, the City manager has stated that he will only keep three players in his team at any given moment.

Leeds must be nervous ahead of the crucial Leicester game, with so much at stake. The league’s leaders will desire a rapid turnaround. Not to add that the Yorkshire team may be without five stars. Oh, and as we all know, LCFC may leave an arguably Premier League-caliber striker out of the matchday roster owing to a glut of skill. That’s a nice problem to have!
