Why a four-star defensive lineman selected Ohio State football over Alabama and USC

Dominic Kirks explains why he selected Ohio State football over Alabama and USC.

The college football scene is constantly evolving, especially with the NIL and transfer portal. As a result, the Ohio State football team recruited Dominic Kirks, another outstanding player. The four-star defensive lineman explains why he chose the Buckeyes over Alabama and USC.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, coaching was ultimately the key factor. Kirks praised the Buckeyes’ coaching staff. Given Nick Saban’s departure from Alabama and reports that USC head coach Kliff Kingsbury may take the offensive coordinator job with the Chicago Bears, it’s understandable that Kirks would choose Ohio State football.

“A fantastic coaching staff, but most importantly, great men. Coach Johnson is a legend; he is a teacher rather than a coach. He was fully open and honest, and he only wants the best for me while also encouraging me to grow as a young man.

They warned me that things would be difficult, and I am ready to accept and embrace any challenges that arise, as well as grind my buttocks off to get where I need to go in life.

It’s like a family; they value camaraderie and play for the guys next to you. There is nothing like this staff! I want to be around by individuals who I believe will help me become the best I can be on and off the field, and there is no other staff like it.”

Dominic Kirks is a four-star defensive line prospect out of high school. This child is getting a lot of attention because he has a legitimate shot at making it to the NFL. Kirks has the potential to become a starter for Ohio State’s football team.
