What the Browns want to add before the trade deadline in 2023

The Cleveland Browns have not yet decided if they will be sellers or buyers at the October 31 NFL trade deadline.

In addition to maybe being willing to let go of some players, general manager Andrew Berry is examining options on both sides of the ledger and searching for some “affordable” candidates to sign.

“As both buyers and sellers, the Cleveland Browns have started making calls. They’ve been scouring the market for some reasonably priced choices, NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic announced prior to Week 7. “I’ve been informed that they may try to sign an offensive lineman and a receiver.

Wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, a free agency after the season, may be traded if the Browns decide to offload players. This season, he has only six receptions for 75 yards, which is one of the reasons the team may be considering adding wide receivers. The only wide receiver with more than 167 yards in the season is Amari Cooper.

The offensive line is currently dealing with a serious injury crisis. Michael Dunn, Dawson Deaton, and Jack Conklin are all on injured reserve.

Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos), Hunter Renfrow (Las Vegas Raiders), Kendrick Bourne, JuJu Smith-Schuster (New England Patriots), and Marquise Brown (Arizona Cardinals) are some of the possible wide receivers available.

On the offensive line front, there are fewer options. Garett Bolles (Broncos) is one of the only big names on the NFL trade deadline rumors market right now.
