What Difficulties Baltimore’s Offense Presents for the Browns Defense

One of the best defenses in all of football is Cleveland’s. Their performance over the first nine weeks has validated their star-studded status at every level.

The Cleveland defense is only allowing 234.4 yards per game through nine games, which is nearly 30 yards less than what the second-place Ravens are allowing. Additionally, they rank third in the NFL in terms of points given up, conceding 17.4 points per contest.

They will have their hands full when they play Lamar Jackson on Sunday, despite all of these impressive marks.

Jackson is the clear favorite to win MVP going into Week 10. He is throwing for 1,954 yards and nine touchdowns against three interceptions while completing a league-best 71.5 percent of his passes.

He increases the threat on the ground by the same amount. The elusive Jackson has scored five touchdowns while rushing for 440 yards on 84 carriers. He is ranked 20th among running backs in the league, and his 440 yards are by far the most of any quarterback in the league.

For any defense, stopping Lamar is a full-time job, but he is surrounded by some of the best players in the league.

The core of the Ravens wide receivers, which includes rookie Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, and Nelson Agholor, is loaded with first-round picks. All of these players have the ability to be big players, even though some may be past their prime.
