What Detroit Lions’ thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions are two NFC teams that have already clinched a playoff spot.

The Cowboys (10-5) are 7-0 at home this season and have won 15 straight at AT&T Stadium. The Lions (11-4) have a 6-2 road record.

Detroit can improve its seeding against Dallas, but the Lions have already won their division and are guaranteed at least one home playoff game. The Cowboys are still fighting for the NFC East title and a home playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles (11-4). According to the New York Times, a win gives the Cowboys a 25% chance of winning the division. With a loss, those chances are reduced to 3%.

This is what the

Head coach Dan Campbell

On third down, what makes Dak Prescott difficult to defend:

“He’s a complete quarterback who can do it all.” It’s difficult to disguise against him because he can see through it. He can change protections and knows where to throw the football. With pressure on him, he remains calm and composed. And then he has the ability to flee. He can escape the pocket to make a throw, but he can also get downfield with his legs.”

His reaction to Jerry Jones’ praise:

“As a player, Mr. Jones was always nice to me. It was a terrific experience, being around a lot of excellent people for three years, and it means a lot when you grew up there and you’re a Cowboys fan. I believe it’s a fantastic feeling when people acknowledge the things you’re doing or the way you’re doing them, the way you go about your business, and they acknowledge it. You think to yourself, ‘Alright.’ You have the impression that you are going about things correctly. So it’s flattering, but I also know they want to run us over. And we want to follow suit. So that’s a League member.”s, I can tell you that.”

The most effective approach to defeat the Cowboys at home:

“You could say it every week: we need to get started quickly.” Because there is where this group shines. They get going, and then it snowballs. And then you just can’t make up for your previous mistakes in the game.”

If Jimmy Johnson’s ring ceremony was a display of disrespect:

“No, that’s fantastic. That seemed like it was for us. Jimmy Johnson is a tremendous fan of mine. He obviously grew up in Texas when the trio were winning Super Bowls. To be able to do everything that he was able to do, he’s someone I’ve observed from afar, and I’ve always been fascinated by him. His coaching technique, what he taught

Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson

Regarding Micah Parsons:

“Oh, he’s a game-changer for sure.” I was just chatting to the men above, and they move him all the time, whether it’s to the right or left side, over either guard, or over the center. Every snap, he’s almost at a different location, making it difficult to get a beat that accounts for where he’s at. So you know where he is, and they have so many other dynamic young men up front. I mean, I think [Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan] Quinn does a great job with the rotation and keeping those guys working endlessly and relentlessly. Today is our third-down day, and when you play their third-down tape, it’s simply a celebration.

Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn

Prescott has expanded in the following ways from last year:

“Man, he looks so at ease in this offense. Listen, you obviously have [Chargers Offensive Coordinator] Kellen Moore last year, as well as a head coach who wants to call it, and you just see him improving as a quarterback in that scheme. Listen, I think he’s smart, I think he’s tough, and I think he provides a unique perspective in terms of being able to throw it with pinpoint precision and know where to go with the ball while also being able to run with the ball and make plays with his legs. And, listen, he’s not [Bears quarterback Justin] Fields or these other guys, but he can make some plays with his legs.”

Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson

“With Dallas at home, everyone knows the stat. That energizes me, because you want to be the one to bring them down. You want to be the one to break their home streak and other such things. But, you know, they have a lot of terrific players, including Dak. We’ll be prepared.”
