What captured star’s attention before rival transfer following Burnley’s interest

Jenson Seelt signed a five-year deal at Sunderland during the summer transfer window when he joined the club from PSV.

Before Jenson Seelt signed with the Black Cats last summer, he claims that Sunderland had been scouting him for more than 18 months.

After playing for PSV’s second team the previous season, the 20-year-old defender joined Wearside in June. This month, he made his Championship debut in a 3-1 victory over Birmingham. Seelt, who signed a seven-figure contract with Sunderland, was reportedly attracting interest from Burnley as well. The center-back made an impression while competing in the Premier League International Cup and the Netherlands.
