West Ham will lose easily if Moyes starts a really bad player v Burnley:- Opinion

David Moyes, the manager of West Ham United, has a big decision to make about our Saturday matchup against Burnley.

Burnley’s Premier League matchup against West Ham promises to be extremely difficult for us due to injuries sustained by Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen during the international break. This means David Moyes will probably have to make some trades in January.

In an emergency, Moyes does have a lot of options to step in for Mikey and Jarrod.

Danny Ings is the most obvious, but I can guarantee you that if the 31-year-old starts at Turf Moor, we won’t win.

The forward, who formerly played for Burnley, Southampton, Aston Villa, and Liverpool, is so glaringly mismatched to our style that it makes us a very simple opponent to play against when he’s on the field.

Moyes must seriously resist the want to start Ings this weekend and exercise unconventional thinking.

Moyes must ignore Ings for Burnley vs West Ham

Even though Ings is a center-forward, he shouldn’t automatically start against Burnley if Antonio and Bowen aren’t available.

First and foremost, Divin Mubama ought to be chosen over the aging, injury-prone forward. Moyes has three other choices, though, if he’s not ready to put his trust in the 19-year-old.

Maxwel Cornet, Mohammed Kudus, and Lucas Paqueta can all play through the middle, thus they’d be a better choice than the unfortunate Ings.

Both Paqueta and Kudus have considerably superior hold-up play compared to Ings. Cornet, on the other hand, has genuine speed, which the 31-year-old truly lacks.

There is no way I can doubt we will lose on Saturday if Ings starts against his old team.

There are so many better choices available to Moyes that he should not choose to start the former Burnley player on Saturday, despite what some may seem to be the obvious choice.
