West Ham United star shown exit door as medical set this weekend

According to Tipsbladet, West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott is due for medical with FC Copenhagen this weekend.

According to the Danish news portal online (19 June), the 25-year-old will join FC Copenhagen in a deal worth £1.2 million plus £419,000 in future add-ons.

Trott will sign a four-year deal with the Danish club.

The shot-stopper has spent the last two seasons on loan from the London Stadium to Vejle Boldklub.

Nathan Trott prepares to say goodbye to West Ham United

This is a move that makes perfect sense for everyone involved.

After Kamil Grabara was moved to Wolfsburg, FC Copenhagen required a new goalkeeper, and Trott had a track record in Denmark.

In his first season on loan with Vejle Boldklub, he helped the club win promotion to the Danish Superliga, and he helped them survive in the level in his second season.

His efforts were so impressive that he was named to the official Superliga Team of the Year, so it’s no surprise that FC Copenhagen has signed him.

Trott will consider it as a positive move after receiving few opportunities at West Ham.

And the Hammers are planning to bring in some cash for a player who was clearly deemed surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.

The goalkeeper conundrum in East London appears to be virtually solved, with Trott leaving and Fabrizio Romano confirming via X (20 June) that the club has completed the free signing of Wes Foderingham.
