West Ham manager David Moyes gained an incredible bargain £18 million deal for talented 26-year-old

David Moyes appears to have made an excellent £18 million signing for West Ham United.

Since coming to the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019, West Ham manager David Moyes has made far more successful transfers than unsuccessful ones.

Everyone associated with the Hammers will be feeling pretty depressed this morning following our 4-3 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday.

Moyes made some terrible in-game decisions that contributed significantly to our defeat to the Toon, which he conceded after the game.

With a home game against Tottenham on the horizon, it’s about time we all began thinking more positively.

I believe there are numerous reasons to be excited as a West Ham fan. Moyes has made a notable signing…

West Ham boss David Moyes has secured bargain £18 million deal

During his tenure at the London Stadium, the Hammers’ manager has overseen particularly active summer transfer windows.

Last summer was no exception, as Declan Rice departed to join Arsenal, and the Scot signed four new players.

Moyes made eight new acquisitions the previous summer, and the upcoming transfer window should see the Scot be quite active once again.

One of his recent signings appears to be excellent value for money.

Konstantinos Mavropanos was outstanding for the Hammers against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. It’s simply a shame that his teammates were so ineffective.

Moyes paid roughly £18 million to bring the 26-year-old centre-back to the London Stadium from Stuttgart in the summer.

He had a rough start with West Ham, but has improved in recent months. In fact, he’s been so brilliant that Inter Milan reportedly wants to buy him this summer.

This season for the Hammers, Mavropanos has recorded some really impressive defensive numbers, via Who Scored:

During our defeat to Newcastle, he was one of the standout players for us, aside from our attackers at least:

He produced a spectacular clearance in the first half, when Alexander Isak was poised to head home with the goal at his mercy.

West Ham’s David Moyes has signed Konstantinos Mavropanos, a top-tier player. The £18 million cost paid for the Greek star now appears to be an incredible deal.
