Vincent Kompany talks about Burnley’s plans for January and the reasons the team can’t’rely’ on the transfer market

With a total of 15 acquisitions made during the summer transfer window, the Clarets were among the busiest teams.

Many of them were young, talented players who could perform at a level higher than Burnley currently does.

Plans regarding where Kompany’s players might bolster themselves will already be in place as the January transfer window approaches.

However, the Clarets manager is equally keen to emphasize that the team needs to concentrate on developing the players they currently have.

When asked if the team was planning for the January window already, Kompany responded, “Always.” But it belongs to a different club department. It runs full-time, twelve months a year.

However, ensuring that the players you have and are working with advance and don’t merely depend on the market is a significant portion of the task.

Burnley’s current options are currently quite limited because their 25-man Premier League roster is already full.

The team must let go of current players to make room in their roster or, alternatively, move on to make room for new potential.

After the summer transfer window closed, Darko Churlinov was not included in the 25-man roster; however, he was added after Samuel Bastien left for Turkey.
