Vincent Kompany pleased with fearless Burnley winger

After a strong performance over the weekend, young wing king Luca Koleosho was quickly praised by Burnley manager Vincent Kompany.

The 19-year-old has been one of the Clarets’ brighter spots during a season when there have been a few positives. His performances have won praise from all quarters.

The player from Espanyol helped Burnley tie the score against Arsenal with a goal, and even though the team lost 3-1, Kompany was once again pleased with his performance overall.

“He’s just a fearless player, it doesn’t really matter who he’s up against,” Kompany stated.

“Against Arsenal, he faced a superior full-back, but he triumphed because he was able to create and initiate action in every game.”

He also played better defensively against Arsenal, which is something he can store in his memory bank and refer to later.

“He is a player who is eager to demonstrate his abilities in this league and he is progressing well.”
