Vincent Kompany issues a warning to Burnley’s players following a crushing loss to Brentford

The Clarets’ disastrous return to the Premier League continued on Saturday as they lost 3-0 against Brentford. Through nine games this season, they have already given up 23 goals.

After a depressing 3-0 loss at Brentford, Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has issued a warning to his side, telling them to get used to life in the Premier League as soon as possible.

After winning the Championship title the previous season, the Clarets have had difficulty adjusting to life back in the Premier League. Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa goals put Brentford, who hadn’t won at home all season, in control.

After that, Burnley’s Connor Roberts was sent off, and Saman Ghoddos completed a commanding performance with a long-range volley. After the game, Kompany stated, “We’ve had injuries and it’s been that type of start to the season for us.”

“It’s for us to focus on the next game and make sure we absolutely take the learning from this.” Burnley now has just four points from nine games, placing them in the bottom three after the loss.

Kompany conceded with some harsh commentary, saying, “Simple. Not good enough all around. We were flatter to lose 1-0 in the first half. I felt that we performed and appeared as we ought to have in the first half during the second half.

“We played pretty well throughout that stretch, but we lost the game in situations that we didn’t take, and they did take. However, in the Premier League, 45 minutes cannot be allotted like such.

Neal Maupay, on loan from Everton to Brentford, performed admirably even though he didn’t score. With a compliment to his attackers, head coach Thomas Frank stated: “The front three looked very sharp and very good together.”

The second goal was also a fantastic goal, and then the third goal from Saman was goal of the day.”

Frank also acknowledged that following the win, his lunch celebrating his five-year anniversary will taste much better. He declared, “It was a very good performance, a totally well-deserved win.”

We may have played our greatest game of the season in the first half. The only thing that went wrong was that we should have probably been up 3-0. That’s us, high-intensity attacks all the time at home. An outstanding performance. Burnley made more progress in the second half, but a 2-0 score finished them out.
