VIDEO: Insane moment: Polish MMA fighter knocks down and ground strikes rival in boxing opener

Marcin Sianos, a Polish MMA fighter, made a memorable boxing debut on Saturday night.

Sianos faced unbeaten 8-0 prospect Artur Bizewski on the undercard of Adam Kownacki’s heavyweight fight with Kacper Meyna.

Two rounds into the battle, Sianos looked impressive, rocking his opponent and appearing to be on his way to an early finish.

The Pole finished early, but not in the way everyone expected. Sianos appeared to forget he was in a boxing match when he knocked down his bewildered opponent before launching a ground and pound onslaught.

This inevitably resulted in a disqualification, infuriating a throng of supporters who attempted to enter the ring. As Sianos was led out of the event, his enraged followers tossed things into the ring.

The 8-7 MMA fighter used social media to react to the chaotic situations in Koszalin, Poland.

He wrote on Instagram, “I’d like to refer to my fight yesterday.”

“At the outset, I’d like to thank Artur Bizewski for the duel. At the same time, my heartfelt apologies for my unsportsmanlike behavior in the ring… there is no excuse for this, it is abhorrent, and I definitely deserved to be disqualified.

“During the arduous preparation time, no similar incident has occurred during any of the sparring matches. I didn’t knock anyone out or elbow anyone; we were practicing pure boxing.

“I can’t explain my actions from yesterday. I guess I won’t be in a professional boxing ring anymore. But, personally, I believe that triumph by dismissing your opponent is not anything to be proud of.

“I do not consider myself a loser or Artur Bizewski a winner. If PUB, Rocky Boxing Night, and Artur Bizewski agree to resolving the duel, I swear that all of my gambling money, regardless of the outcome of the battle, will be donated to the charity objective specified by my opponent!

“I don’t want to be perceived negatively; I’ve never seen similar behaviour in my entire 20-year career, and I don’t want this one-time occurrence to have an impact on my sportsmanship.

“Shout out to all my loyal supporters and thanks for all the positive and negative comments.”
