Very likely that team will not sign Birmingham City star…

Atalanta expressed interest in Birmingham City’s Jordan James during the winter transfer window.

Several reports in the Italian media claimed that the Serie A club was negotiating with the Blues but was unable to reach an agreement.

Last month, Calciomercato stated that Atalanta had not given up on the midfielder. Gazzetta dello Sport said two days ago that they are hoping the Championship team is relegated so that they may sign him for a low price this summer.

Birmingham City are 21st in the table with 39 points, and regardless of where they end this season, La Dea no longer appears to be interested in signing James, according to Tutto Atalanta.

According to reports, Birmingham City initially approved Atalanta’s signing of him in January before changing their mind and raising the price from €4.5 million to €8 million.
Éderson and Teun Koopmeiners are slated to leave Atalanta, and the club may sign their successors in the summer.

In that instance, they would be searching for ready-made players rather than someone like a 19-year-old Wales international who has yet to play at the highest level for his club.

According to reports, Atalanta’s scouting staff still likes the Birmingham City player, but he will ‘almost probably’ not join them. James is anticipated to move to the Premier League, where numerous clubs have targeted him.

This could be a clue that Atlanta believes the expected cost is too high for them.
