Tyler Glasnow of the Dodgers makes a shocking admission following his last strong performance in a win over the Braves.

Los Angeles Dodgers are on a roll. After a tough period that featured a three-game losing skid in mid-April, the Dodgers have won nine of their last twelve games, including three in a row.

Tyler Glasnow and Max Muncy were key reasons why the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 11-2 Friday night to win the series.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on a roll. Following a difficult stretch that included a three-game losing streak in mid-April, the Dodgers have won nine of their last twelve games, including three in a row. Tyler Glasnow and Max Muncy were pivotal in the Dodgers’ 11-2 victory against the Atlanta Braves on Friday night to win the series.

Glasnow informed the media following his impressive performance against the Braves that he felt better as the game progressed.

“Honestly, it was probably after the fourth inning or so that I felt pretty good,” Glasnow said. “The velocity and other components were present when I needed them later in the at-bats. And as the game progressed, I started feeling better and better.”

Tyler Glasnow, the MLB leader in starts (8), is now 6-1 on the season, tying his 2019 campaign for second most in his career. Only last season had more than ten wins in a single season. Glasnow is also the MLB leader in innings pitched (50.0), strikeouts (63), and batters faced (195).

Saturday was Glasnow’s third seven-inning outing this season; he kept the Minnesota Twins to three hits and no runs on April 9 and tossed eight scoreless innings against the New York Mets on April 21. His sole loss this season occurred on April 15 against the Washington Nationals, when he allowed eight hits and six runs in five innings.

In addition to Glasnow’s brilliance on the mound, Max Muncy excelled at the plate. The Dodgers’ third baseman went 4-5 on Saturday, with three home runs and four RBIs.

“It was a really cool moment for me, first time I’ve ever done that,” Muncy was quoted as saying. “I’ve felt good at the plate in the past several weeks. I know the results aren’t always there, but I believe I’ve put together some solid at-bats. Sometimes you receive rough pitches. Tonight, I was able to improve my barrel-to-ball contact.”

Muncy, a two-time All-Star, has a season hitting line of.262 AVG /.369 OBP /.551 SLG /.921 OPS. During the Dodgers’ recent hot streak, he had a.313 hitting average and 1.213 OPS.

As a result of their recent good play, the Dodgers now have a 4.5-game lead over the San Diego Padres, who are second in the NL West. The Dodgers, at 22-13, appear to be finally hitting the stride that many expected when they acquired Glasnow and signed Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the summer.

The Dodgers conclude their weekend home series against the Braves tonight at 1:10 p.m. PT.
