“Two Signings Added”: Reorganizing their practice squad, the Seahawks place a preseason standout on injured reserve

A former second-round pick was added to the practice squad by the Seahawks.

In advance of their game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks have signed two players and dropped two from their practice squad.

Let’s get the signings started! After last playing for the PS in October, wide receiver Cody White has returned to the mix, while former Dallas cornerback Kelvin Joseph has also joined the fold. The Cowboys selected Joseph in the second round of the 2021 draft, but he later lost favor and was benched. Joseph was traded by Dallas to the Miami Dolphins, who cut him loose in the middle of November.

Considering Riq Woolen’s shoulder problems, it’s possible that Joseph is here for more than simply insurance, like that lovely hypothetical information about the impending opposition.

One preseason star and one reserve offensive lineman make up the two players left off the practice squad. Ben Brown, a guard, was let go, which isn’t too remarkable considering Seattle currently has a good depth at that position.

Regretfully, due to an undisclosed injury, outside linebacker Levi Bell was placed on injured reserve. Bell’s August performance was so unexpected that there was even discussion about him joining the active roster, but that never happened. There’s been no news on whether Bell’s injury will terminate the season.

Here’s the latest Seahawks practice squad group:

QB Brett Rypien

WR Cade Johnson

WR Easop Winston Jr

WR Cody White

WR Cody Thompson
