Two Patriots get fined after a humiliating Week 10 defeat to the Colts

During their Week 10 matchup in Germany against the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots suffered their third straight defeat and were hit with two fines upon their return to the States.

According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots linebackers Jahlani Tavai ($10,463) and Mack Wilson Sr. ($8,861) were fined by the NFL for needless roughness before to New England’s bye week. Tavai was flagged for a head-on contact on Colts wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie during the third quarter.

Wilson’s effort to tackle Colts safety Rodney Thomas in the first quarter led to his fine.

But in the midst of its tank-like season, New England was unable to avoid yet another subpar showing that raised concerns about the organization. The Patriots were outplayed in a game of poor football, scoring only six points.

On November 26, New England, now 2-8 and at the bottom of the AFC East, will go back to action on the road to play the New York Giants.
