Two Lions players missed the Bucs’ final preparations, including…

The Detroit Lions are very healthy heading into their divisional-round playoff game against Tampa Bay, missing just punt returner Kalif Raymond and backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater at their final practice of the week.

Bridgewater was also excused from practice last week for personal reasons, and he is missing again as the Lions finalize their game plan versus Tampa Bay. It’s unclear what’s going on, but the good news is Jared Goff hasn’t missed a single play this season due to injury. Bridgewater has played only three snaps, all of which resulted in knees that ended a rout against Carolina on October 8.

But he’s had a huge impact in the locker room, especially on younger players like rookie quarterback Hendon Hooker and second-year receiver Jameson Williams, and his presence will be missed after the season. He is set to retire when Detroit’s playoff run concludes.

Raymond hasn’t practiced since suffering a knee injury in the regular-season finale against Minnesota, but head coach Dan Campbell voiced optimism that he could be able to return against Tampa Bay. Today’s deadline for game designations is 4 p.m.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, the backup punt returner, gained four yards on his only effort against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend.
