Town Give Statement on Medical Emergency

Town have issued a statement following the medical incident that caused the second half of this evening’s 0-0 draw with QPR at Portman Road to be delayed.

During halftime, a fan was treated in the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand before being stretchered into the tunnel, causing the second period to be delayed by 20 minutes.

“A medical emergency occurred in the lower tier of the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand during half-time of this evening’s game with Queens Park Rangers at Portman Road,” the club said in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with the supporter’s family and friends, and the club extends its full support to all those affected.” At this point, there will be no additional remark.”
