Top rookie’s back issue makes it uncertain when she will recover
Witherspoon is doubtful after suffering an injury in the first quarter while intercepting a pass.
Hopefully available for the rest of the afternoon, Devon Witherspoon has been a significant bright spot for the Seattle Seahawks this season. Witherspoon looked to get stuck uncomfortably between Seahawks safety Jamal Adams and 49ers tight end Francisco 49ers after a pass break against George Kittle.
Even though he appeared shaken up at first, he managed to get up and continue playing until the medical staff called for a check. Witherspoon’s status as doubtful to return after additional review suggests that this may have been the right decision.
The team isn’t very strong at the position because Tre Brown isn’t playing today. As official word is still pending, make sure to check back for an update as soon as confirmation of any kind is received. They will be using a combination of Mike Jackson, Artie Burns, and Coby Brytant in his absence as they wait.
