Three Georgia Bulldogs are selected in the 2024 NFL mock draft by Pro Football Focus

PFF expects a pair of Bulldogs to go in the first round and another come the second round.

A number of Georgia Bulldogs have promising NFL careers, and it’s likely that several of them will choose to declare for the 2024 draft. The latest mock draft by Pro Football Focus indicated that several Bulldogs have a bright future when it comes to selecting early.

Two Georgia players are selected in the first round in PFF’s third mock draft for 2024, while another gets one of the early picks selected in the second round. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ selection of tight end Brock Bowers with the 10th overall choice is expected to make him the first Bulldog off the board, according to the site. The Green Bay Packers will select offensive tackle Amarius Mims with the 20th pick.

There are just a few second-round projections in PFF’s most recent mock, but one of them includes a superb Georgia receiver. Ladd McConkey, a wide receiver, is expected to be selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 55th overall pick, according to the site.

Despite an injury-plagued 2023 season, Bowers distinguished himself by leading Georgia’s pass-catchers in fall with 56 receptions for 714 yards and 6 touchdowns. Similar to Bowers’ injury, Mims’ ankle injury kept him out of action for six games. However, he was able to play in Georgia’s Week 10 match against Ole Miss after recovering from his surgery. Up until he hurt his ankle in the first half of the SEC championship game against Alabama, Mims was still in the starting lineup.

Injury also had an impact on McConkey’s 2023 season. Due to a persistent back ailment, the junior missed Georgia’s first four games. However, he made his debut against Auburn, recording four receptions for 38 yards in that contest. After starting just six snaps against Tennessee in Week 12, McConkey was back in the starting lineup. However, an ankle injury kept him out of the Georgia Tech regular season finale.

Despite being subpar, McConkey participated in the game against the Crimson Tide and finished with three receptions for 38 yards. McConkey has 29 receptions for 456 yards and two touchdowns with the bowl game still to play.
