Three changes will be made by Springboks for the Rugby World Cup semifinal

Rassie Erasmus, the director of rugby for the Springboks, has alluded to three possible lineup changes for his team’s Rugby World Cup semifinal matchup against England on Saturday.

Rassie Erasmus, the director of rugby for the Springboks, is anticipating an incredible matchup between his team and England in the Rugby World Cup semi-final.

RASSIE GUIDE AT THREE CHANGES

As they say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Rassie Erasmus, nevertheless, has hinted that the reigning champions could need to make some changes. In the end, South Africa defeated France 29–28 in a thrilling match on Sunday. The key is to stay as fresh as possible.

“We are considering a six-two split on the bench and there is a temptation to bring Lukhanyo (Am) in this week and start Handre (Pollard), Faf (de Klerk), and Canan (Moodie).” Erasmus stated.

“We have all 33 players available for selection since every member of our squad is healthy. We’d like to watch what they do as well. We’ll need to arrange something if they choose for a six-two split.

“We can also counter their tall lineout options with a guy like Jean Kleyn, who will bring some physicality.” We are presumably only revealing our squad two days prior to kickoff for that reason.

RUGBY WORLD CUP: AN AGE-old clash

Sunday’s 29-28 victory over France by the world champions stands as one of the greatest rugby contests in recent history—or perhaps all of human history. Despite a brilliant individual performance, French captain Antoine Dupont, who had a broken jaw earlier in the competition, was unable to lead his country to the semifinals. Several other Springboks put up impressive performances of their own, among them the bruised and bleeding Jesse Kriel. Given his performance against England, there may be a strong temptation to rest Kriel, but how can he really be benched after that?
