The NFL Director reacts when questioned if Chiefs have beaten Cowboys as America’s Team

The Kansas City Chiefs’ popularity has grown at a faster rate than any other organization in the last five years, thanks solely to their on-field success.

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have been the best quarterback-coach combination since Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Three Super Bowl victories in five years, and the prospect of a ‘three-peat’ puts them on the verge of creating NFL history.

Furthermore, having the best tight end of all time, Travis Kelce, has proven to be a catalyst for popularity. His association with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has helped to build the Chiefs’ reputation.

The Chiefs’ brand continues to grow and their TV coverage for 2024 reflects this

The Chiefs’ image has soared as a result of all of these causes, and they are currently in higher demand than ever before.

Kansas City has five prime-time games scheduled for the 2024 season, in addition to a Christmas Day and a Black Friday match.

According to Ari Meirov, the Chiefs have 13 blockbuster matches out of 17 games next year.

Clearly, the Chiefs are in high demand because they provide invaluable TV revenue and serve as a cash cow for the network.

NFL Director responds to claim the Chiefs are now America’s Team surpassing the Cowboys

Meirov spoke to the NFL Senior Director of Broadcasting Blake Jones and questioned if the Chiefs had surpassed the Dallas Cowboys as America’s Team.

The Cowboys have been labeled ‘America’s Team’ because of their historic significance, which has seen them become the most popular team in the United States.

“[The Chiefs are] a team that everyone enjoys watching right now; fans tune in not only because they’re a well-known brand, but also because they play fantastic football and win a lot of games. They’re currently one of the top clubs in the league in terms of national and international fan appeal,” Blake stated on the 33rd Team podcast.

“Yes, they’re going to have a lot of those high-profile stand-alone windows, and the rest of the country will see them. I believe that’s what our fans are yearning for.”

Blake believes the Chiefs are one of, if not the most popular franchises to watch on television.

Broadcasters’ eyes are lighting up at the money and fans the Chiefs draw in

Their global influence dominates the NFL scene, and broadcasters obviously want to capitalize.

Furthermore, the Chiefs want to make history, therefore it’s no wonder that they get the most attention so supporters can monitor their progress.

The Cowboys would deny that the Chiefs have overtaken them in popularity, but they have closed the gap dramatically.

In 2024, all eyes will be on the Chiefs as they face the possibility of having the greatest season in football history.
