The midfielder has a future at Ipswich Town

Tom Taylor, the captain of the Ipswich Town U18s, has signed a professional contract with the club that will keep him with the club until the summer of 2025.

Ipswich Town have seen a number of promising players come through their ranks over the years. Kieran McKenna’s first-team squad currently has players like Cameron Humphreys and Elkan Baggott, both of whom are widely expected to play regular roles in the Town team in the years to come.

Dependable defense Luke Woolfenden also came up through the youth ranks. In the upcoming years, many people will be looking to follow in his footsteps.

Tom Taylor, a midfielder in the academy, has officially been announced to have signed a new contract with Ipswich Town.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, the 17-year-old has agreed to a professional contract with a two-year extension option through 2025.

He has recently played frequently for the club’s U18s team, which he captains.

Ipswich Town has a remarkably skilled team, and in the upcoming years, it is hoped that the senior squad will be strengthened by a few fresh youth standouts. The likes of Taylor will be trying to stand out, but given the caliber of McKenna’s team, they are aware that they must perform at the very top of their game.

Taylor and his academy teammates will compete to stand out in the U18s and U21s until they get a shot in the senior team.

Others will be competing to impress while on loan, while some will play senior football in non-league settings.
