The Leicester City star will be relieved that the Luton Town agreement never materialized

Throughout the summer transfer window, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was connected to Luton Town.

At that point, the paths of the two teams were diverging, with Leicester City destined for the Championship and the Hatters for the Premier League.

But after a few months, it appears that the midfielder will benefit more and more from the move’s inability to happen.

Earlier in his career, Dewsbury-Hall did go on loan to Luton, where he became a Kenilworth Road fan favorite.

But under Enzo Maresca, he has solidified himself as a Foxes regular starter and his value has only increased.

As the squad surges to the top of the Championship table, the 25-year-old has appeared in all 13 of the team’s first league games.

Was Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall better off moving to Luton Town during the summer?

Given the distance they’ve already constructed as we approach November, Leicester now appear set to be promoted back to the Premier League this season, barring a catastrophic collapse in form in the upcoming months.

Dewsbury-Hall, who has five goals and five assists for Maresca’s team, has been a key player in this.

He has been a key player for the Foxes, and they are now further behind Leeds United in third place.

Luton, however, is having a difficult time staying in the bottom half of the Premier League standings and may find themselves switching places with Leicester once more in the summer.

Although Rob Edwards’ team is now 17th in the standings, they are only one point out of the drop zone.

This season, the Premier League’s bottom three teams have been appalling, with none of the three promoted teams being able to replicate their performance from the previous campaign.

Given that the top four teams in the Championship are currently debatably performing at a better level than the worst four teams in the top flight, Leicester should overtake Luton very soon on the ladder of the football hierarchy if their current trajectory continues.

To Leicester City, how significant is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall?

Dewsbury-Hall will be crucial to that, as the midfielder’s importance to the team has grown in the wake of their several summer departures.

The departure of James Maddison and Youri Tielemans from King Power Stadium created a significant void in the team, which the 25-year-old has now filled.

Maresca has made Dewsbury-Hall a consistent starter in the squad because he recognizes his potential.

He now plays a bigger role in the team’s offensive than ever before, providing more assists and goals.

Even if it is obvious that a player of his caliber ought to be playing in the Premier League, sticking with Leicester for the current campaign would have been the best decision he could have made for his career.

Maresca has been an outstanding instructor, drawing out the best in him, something that may not have happened at a Luton that was having difficulties.

Dewsbury-Hall is now more highly valued than he would have been if he had gone back to Kenilworth Road, and it is highly likely that he will play in the Premier League at the King Power very soon.
