The latest player to be added to the 2024 Polynesian Bowl is an Oregon signee

The Oregon signee is one of the top pass catchers in the country.

When San Jacinto (Calif.) wide out and Oregon signee Dillon Gresham revealed his commitment to this year’s Polynesian Bowl, it added another big-time star to the roster.

Gresham is a consensus four-star talent who is ranked No. 178 nationally in the 247Sports Composite and No. 27 in the state.

As a junior, he put up video game numbers and established himself as one of the nation’s finest pass catchers. He led the state with 90 receptions for 2,051 yards and 31 touchdowns.

He caught 49 passes for 819 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior. He scored four additional times on the ground and three more times on kick/punt returns. He’s an explosive player who can go behind a defense and is also excellent after the catch.

“I’m super excited about this opportunity,” Gresham stated. “I’m really excited about the competition that will be out there.”

“I’ve never been to Hawaii before, so it’ll be an entirely new experience for me.” I’ve heard amazing things about it, and I know it’ll be a lot of fun.”

Many athletes who have never visited Hawaii find the Polynesian culture to be appealing.

“I’m looking forward to learning more about the culture there for sure,” she remarked.”Like I said, everything will be new to me, including the food, but I can’t wait.”

“I think between the game, the culture and taking everything in, it’s going to be a great time and I’m honored to be invited.”

The Polynesian Bowl has established itself as one of the nation’s premier high school all-star games. The celebration of culture and football is what distinguishes the game. The NFL Network will broadcast the Polynesian Bowl live in 2024.

“The Polynesian Bowl has become the hottest high school football all-star invitation,” stated Jesse Sapolu, Chairman of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame and four-time Super Bowl champion. “Dillon will have an experience of a lifetime.”

Gresham committed to Oregon early in May and signed with the Ducks during the Early Signing Period, but things became problematic late for Duck fans.

Gresham paid official visits to Arizona and USC, and there was speculation that the Wildcats might be on the verge of a switch. Gresham chose Oregon because it had been his dream school since he was a child.

“I have a great connection with the staff and especially WR coach, Junior Adams,” Gresham was quoted as saying. “He’s someone I believe can be both a mentor and a coach to me, and Oregon just felt like home to me.”

“I knew I wanted to be in Oregon while I was on campus when I visited.” I liked everything about the school, especially how friendly the personnel was to me and my family. I had some terrific trips and really good possibilities, but Oregon was always the greatest all-around fit for me.”
