Ipswich Town are currently third in the Championship table, one point behind Leeds United and Leicester City. The Foxes have a game in hand, but their formerly tight hold on the top two is a distant memory.

The Tractor Boys have transformed into a superb team under Kieran McKenna, and they could finish a miraculous rise to the Premier League before the end of the season. If they succeed, they will be able to thank a large number of critical players.

Leif Davis

Davis, who rose to prominence in League One, has handled the transition to the Championship with ease. A spectacular return of a goal and 17 assists from the left-back has cemented his place on the season’s best team.

Premier League clubs have expressed interest in the 24-year-old’s services. If Ipswich Town fail to reach the top division, Davis might go up as early as the summer.

Omari Hutchinson

Of course, Hutchinson is on Chelsea’s roster. He has just made one Premier League appearance, but he has dispelled any worries about his abilities this season.

Ali Al-Hamadi
