TE is injured during his first career game against the Cardinals

Tight end Cole Kmet was having a career day for the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but he suffered an injury and the team is holding its breath.

Kmet, who had four first-half catches for 107 yards, left the game in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury.

He was initially listed as uncertain to return, but that was changed to dubious at the start of the third quarter.

It’s unclear when he got hurt, but he appeared slow to get up after catching a 29-yard pass from Justin Fields with less than 10 minutes left in the second quarter.

Kmet’s 107 receiving yards are the most in a game in his career, but it doesn’t look he’ll have another chance to add to the number.

Kmet’s setback comes as the Bears battle with an injured DJ Moore, who exited the game for a while due to a leg ailment. He did return, but the Cardinals’ defense has kept him quiet since the first drive of the game.
