Taylor Porter has been hired as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Oregon

Dan Lanning and Wilson Love continue to bolster their strength and conditioning personnel.

Taylor Porter was named as the Oregon Ducks’ new assistant strength and conditioning coach on Monday morning.

Porter had the same position at Michigan State for the previous four seasons. He has 15 years of expertise as a strength and conditioning coach in the NFL and at the collegiate level.

“We are excited to welcome Taylor and his wife, Liz, and their daughter, Minnie, to our Oregon family,” said head coach Dan Lanning in a statement. “Coach Porter is an excellent addition to our strength and conditioning staff, and his experience at the college and professional levels will be extremely beneficial to our program.” I’m excited to watch him invest in our student-athletes on a daily basis and help them become the best they can be on and off the field.”

He coached the Tennessee Titans for three years (2016-2019), then the Jacksonville Jaguars for one season (2019), before coming to Michigan State for four years (2020-2024).

“I’m excited to be joining the Oregon football strength and conditioning staff and can’t wait to get to work with these guys,” Porter said in a statement. “My family and I are grateful for the opportunity provided by Coach Lanning and Coach Love.” I’m excited to work with the performance team and continue the championship culture that Oregon football represents. Ducks, go!”

Porter is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC*D) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).

He is also a qualified Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) mobility specialist and an American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid instructor.
