“Take a look”: Ipswich Town player reveals his team edge over Leeds United with four games to go in the promotion battle

Leeds United are seeking to overturn a one-point gap to Ipswich Town and Leicester City in the Championship’s last four games as the automatic promotion race heats up.

Leeds will play two home games and two away games in order to finish in the automatic promotion places, with Blackburn Rovers coming up next.

Leeds are a point behind second-place Ipswich Town, making it difficult to predict who will win in May.

Vaclav Hladky makes Ipswich, Leeds assessment with four to play

Leeds play second out of the top three this weekend, with Leicester facing Plymouth Argyle last night, and Ipswich hosting Middlesbrough at 3 p.m.

Tractor Boys goalkeeper Vaclav Hlaky believes his team has an advantage over Leeds just because they are one point ahead of them right now.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, he stated:

“You have a look at the table and you see the results, but I’m going to say the same thing that we have to pick up the points and we have to be focused on ourselves and be ready for every game.

“We have the advantage to do it ourselves as we are one point ahead of Leeds so we hold the cards. As much as we can, we want to win every game and hold this advantage that’s in our hands.”

Leeds need result against Blackburn to get back on track

Hladky is correct that Ipswich currently holds the key to promotion, but one point in the last two games for both Leeds and Ipswich highlights how quickly things may change.

They face a highly motivated Middlesbrough side today, who have proven to be no pushovers against the best teams this season.

If we beat Blackburn, it puts more pressure on them to score maximum points at home or face the playoffs.
