Stephon Gilmore Provides Vital Injury Update

The Dallas Cowboys boast one of the finest defenses in the NFL playoffs, with the San Francisco 49ers perhaps being the only club in the NFC with a superior defensive right now.

The health of veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who has somewhat rejuvenated his career in Dallas this season, is one of the Cowboys’ primary concerns heading into this first-round battle with the Green Bay Packers.

Gilmore is now suffering with a shoulder ailment, which has made his availability for Sunday’s game against the Packers unclear, as he did not practice on Wednesday.

According to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Gilmore claims to be feeling well right now but will most likely wear a brace on his shoulder in preparation for a game versus Green Bay during Wild Card Weekend in Dallas.

Obviously, the Cowboys are a far stronger football club with the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year on the field, making it that much more difficult for Jordan Love to make an impact with his receivers in this game.

Even if Gilmore is unable to play in this playoff game in Dallas on Sunday, the Cowboys will have a good chance of beating the Packers, as Micah Parsons and company are the better all-around football club.

Along with Gilmore, Dallas has some issues on the offensive line, with Zack Martin (illness) and Tyler Smith (foot) both listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
