Star says Norwich needs to work on their “game management.”

According to forward Jonathan Rowe, for Norwich City to reach their season-long goal of promotion, they must enhance their game management when in front.

On Saturday at Coventry, he scored his eighth goal of the year, but they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw as Ben Gibson put the ball in his own net late in the game.

Prior to the break for foreign travel, Norwich is ranked seventh in the Championship.

Rowe told BBC Radio Norfolk, “We just didn’t control the game correctly at the end and were punished for it.

“I believe we should have made more of an effort to maintain possession and finish the game. In general, the game was a little scrappy, but it was really unlucky to give up a goal at that precise moment.”

But since that happens in football, we must encourage one another and make sure we recover stronger.

You can attend away games and earn gutsy victories that make everyone happy, or you can lose, but you have to accept whatever happens.” We may hopefully learn from our failures in the future and achieve better results.

Despite starting the season with 10 points from their first four games, Norwich has struggled of late, winning just one of their last five games while dropping the other three.

Despite this, Rowe declared, “I have so much faith in this team. You can see the type of football we can play after the first month. If we return to it, which we shall, we will be able to fly once more.

“I cherish and utilize my personal accomplishments as motivation, but I also care about the team.”

“I genuinely believe that we are capable of being promoted this year. Just demonstrate it on the field.”

“We’ve all got to realise that’s it’s only the start of the season still, we’re not half-way through yet, so we have many more games to go before we can actually start really judging ourselves.”

Rowe has been called up to the England Under-21 team due to his goal-scoring performance.

“I went from the 20s to the 21st and I’m gradually working my way up,” he continued. I’m aware that my career is only just getting started, so I just need to keep working hard, keep my feet on the ground, and perform well.

On October 21, Norwich will play at home against Leeds United before welcoming Middlesbrough to Carrow Road three days later.
