Star brings up Birmingham City when discussing his United transfer

Auston Trusty, a Sheffield United defender, has spoken about his continued fondness for former club Birmingham City.

The 25-year-old is now a mainstay in Sheffield United’s defence, but it was in the Midlands that he first established himself as an important player for an English club.

After joining Arsenal from Colorado Rapids, he was loaned back to MLS before a temporary move to Birmingham was approved.

He soon established himself as a major role for the Blues, making 48 appearances in the 2022/23 season. His performances earned him a promotion to the Premier League, with a move to Sheffield United.

Since making his Premier League debut for the Blades in October, he has missed only one game. In an interview with GOAL, the defender discussed his life in England and his welcome at St Andrews.

He stated, “My first game in England, I made one challenge, and the fans chanted ‘USA!’.” When they accomplished that for me, I got shivers because I never imagined it could happen.
