Six Michigan Wolverines taken on Day 2 of NFL Draft

After former Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy was selected tenth overall by Minnesota on Night Two of the NFL Draft, six more of his teammates had their names called in rounds two and three.

In round two, Cincinnati selected DT Kris Jenkins 49th overall, and his cornerback teammate Mike Sainristil was selected with the next pick by Washington.

Linebacker Junior Colson will rejoin with his college coach Jim Harbaugh, who is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers selected Colson 69th overall, with the fifth pick in round three.

Blake Corum, Roman Wilson, and Zak Zinter were all taken in the third round, making the final three Wolverines off the board in that order.

Corum was taken 83rd overall by the Los Angeles Rams, Wilson 84th by Seattle, and Zinter 85th by Cleveland.

With four rounds remaining, Michigan hopes to shatter the mark for the most draft selections by a single program, which Georgia established in 2022 with 15 picks.

The third and final day of the NFL Draft ends Saturday at noon.
