Sherrone Moore of Michigan football updates injuries before Ohio State

As Michigan football fans eagerly await the team’s big game this weekend against rival Ohio State, acting head coach Sherrone Moore is occupied with tending to a number of injuries sustained during the team’s 31-24 victory over Maryland last weekend, including a critical injury to wide receiver Roman Wilson, according to Nick Kosko of On3.

The Wolverines’ offense, which has been a major contributor to their success this season, sustained some noticeable bruising. Myles Hinton, a senior offensive tackle, was hurt slightly on Saturday in the victory, but he is anticipated to play this weekend because there has been no structural damage noted. LaDarius Henderson, a senior left tackle, also has an injury that has not been made public but isn’t thought to be severe enough to keep him out of action for an extended period of time.

Roman Wilson, a senior wide receiver for Michigan, is the team’s biggest injury worry heading into this week’s crucial football game against Ohio State. Wilson was forced to leave the game following a hit that caused a concussion in the first quarter, leaving Wolverine supporters calling for a flag that never came. This season, the Honolulu native has recorded 612 receiving yards and ten touchdown receptions, a career high and team-leading total for Michigan. Roman is one of several seniors in Michigan who has much to show, so he will be hoping to get past protocol. In the game against Ohio State the previous year, a comfortable 45-23 win in Columbus, he had just one reception for no gain.

This year’s version of the legendary rivalry game will be headed by Sherrone Moore for the Wolverines as head coach Jim Harbaugh is still serving out his suspension due to a sign-stealing controversy that has rocked the program since early October.
