‘See how good he is’: EPL club discharged player described as “very quick” by a teammate

Leif Davis, the star player for Ipswich Town, believes that Axel Tuanzebe, a former Manchester United defender, would be a “good addition” to the Championship contenders following his summer departure from the Premier League’s top team.

Reunited at Portman Road with his former coach from Old Trafford, it would take a bold man to wager on Axel Tuanzebe and Kieran McKenna facing their former employers in England’s premier league the following season.

The contrast between Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and McKenna’s ruthless Ipswich could scarcely be more obvious as the Red Devils continue to stutter aimlessly in the dark. A terrible start to the current season has undone all the gains gained throughout 2022/23.

Suddenly, receiving promotions one after another becomes more realistic and less like a hopeful pipe dream.

Axel Tuanzebe reunites with Kieran McKenna at Ipswich

With Leicester City leading the way, the Tractor Boys have had the best start of any newly promoted team in Championship history. In the meantime, the unexpected availability of summer acquisition Tuanzebe should provide even more stability to an already strong backline. The 25-year-old is recuperating from an injury and made his McKenna’s squad debut during Saturday’s 3-2 success over Plymouth Argyle.

With the second-most assists in the division, Davis says of Tuanzebe, “You can tell he’s played at a high level.” This is what BBC Sport is reporting. “He has been supporting us guys in the back during our defensive unit drills.”

“And it’s clear he will be a valuable addition to the team from working with the manager at Manchester United as well.

It’s evident how skilled he is with the ball. He is also very swift and strong for a center-half off the ball. I believe he will blend right in.

Former Man United man fit again

After injury-plagued loan stints at Stoke City and Napoli, Tuanzebe—who won the coveted Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award in 2015—was let go by Manchester United during the summer.

Originally scheduled to drop down to the Championship, he was due to join Teden Mengi at Luton Town.

Although the 25-year-old has yet to make his Ipswich debut, he is getting there and is obviously making an excellent impression behind the scenes.
