SEC has officially announced a date for Alabama football at Oklahoma in 2024

The date of Alabama’s football game against Oklahoma in 2024 has been set.

The Crimson Tide will visit Norman on Nov. 23 to become the Sooners’ first SEC opponent since joining Texas in leaving the Big 12.

The announcement was made during Monday Night Football’s halftime show, coinciding with a game between Texas and Georgia on October 19. The date of the game, as well as other significant dates on the SEC calendar for 2024, were previously revealed by ESPN, which will take over the league’s entire television rights next season.

The league also set two Oct. 12 matchups, with Tennessee hosting Florida and Ole Miss visiting LSU.

The SEC’s whole 2024 schedule will be published on ESPN Wednesday evening. After being unable to agree on a long-term scheduling strategy with the additions of Texas and Oklahoma during spring meetings, the league’s institutions will play an eight-game conference schedule for at least one more season.

Alabama kicks off its 2024 season against Western Kentucky at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide returns home the next week to face South Florida, and will attempt to win more comfortably than they did in Week 3 of this season.

Alabama travels to Big Ten nation on September 14. Before beginning its SEC schedule, the Tide will play Wisconsin at Camp Randall.

According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Alabama will then face Georgia at home on Sept. 28 after a week off, then travel to Tennessee on Oct. 19 and LSU on Nov. 9. Mercer visits town on Nov. 16, before the Oklahoma game and the Iron Bowl versus Auburn in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 30.

Alabama’s home games against Missouri and South Carolina, as well as a road trip to Vanderbilt, have yet to be scheduled.

Meanwhile, Alabama’s 2023 season begins on Jan. 1. The Crimson Tide will meet Michigan in the Rose Bowl semifinals of the College Football Playoff that day.
