Seahawks trading player to active roster

Jason Peters is here to stay.

The 41-year-old offensive tackle is headed for the active roster after spending the first part of his Hall of Fame career on the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks.

Abe Lucas resumed practice this week, but since Seattle has been rotating Peters and Stone Forsythe at right tackle, this was merely a formality as he isn’t ready to play just yet. Despite having an unsurprisingly difficult game against the Baltimore Ravens, Peters has proven to be a valuable run-blocker. Take a look at what he accomplished in the victory over the Washington Commanders last Sunday.

We’re waiting for the corresponding move to make room for Peters because Seattle’s roster is already fully committed. Both McClendon Curtis and Raiqwon O’Neal are possible candidates because they haven’t played much since Seattle claimed them off waivers earlier in the season.
