Seahawks supporters need to feel free with fundamental storyline

This always happens at the trade deadline and it almost never ages well.

The Seattle Seahawks made one of the bigger trades at the deadline and went after the talented Leonard Williams to bolster their defense. Seattle’s defense then got dominated in Williams’ first game.

You can probably see where this is going.

The good news is that people who act enraged in ways like this are usually few and far between, but some of the more inflammatory accounts that are farming for clicks on social media saw this as an example to create outrage that isn’t needed.

Sadly, some of these accounts are getting a bit too much traction on this preposterous topic. That needs to stop immediately.

One game isn’t nearly enough of a sample to accurately gauge Williams’ impact on this defense. Anyone that tries to argue otherwise with any sort of confidence is merely being controversial for the sake of attention.

This was a bad loss, but Williams was able to flash at points and should be a major part of this team going forward if he keeps it up and takes advantage of some time to practice and get to know the scheme and his teammates.

This team is still one of the best in the NFC and should have a very straight-forward path to the playoffs. Leonard Williams is going to be a big part of that run.

The sky isn’t falling. Relax.
