Seahawks share formal designation for Kenneth Walker III

The Seattle Seahawks were an unexpected contender the previous year, but they might not make the playoffs this year.

With a 6-5 record, they are now sixth in the NFC. However, they are being pursued by the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints, who are all 5-6 and just out of the playoff picture.

Seattle will have a chance to make a big impression on Thursday when they take on the Dallas Cowboys in a challenging contest.

Unfortunately for them, Adam Schefter lists their primary running back threat, Kenneth Walker III, as questionable for that game.

Walker has averaged 4.1 yards per carry this season while running for 613 yards and six touchdowns.

Even with him playing 10 games, the Seahawks rank only 20th in rushing touchdowns, 21st in yards per carry, and 26th in rushing yards, so they will be difficult to beat without him.

The Cowboys are loaded with talent on their roster and, even if they aren’t legitimate Super Bowl candidates, they are certainly close.

Since being destroyed 42-10 by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, the team has won five out of six games, led by the much-maligned quarterback Dak Prescott.

Seattle’s situation is made worse by the fact that Dallas has a 13-game home winning streak at AT&T Stadium.

The Seahawks will take a long break after Thursday before facing the 49ers, who destroyed them on Thanksgiving, on the road, then the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning NFC champions, at home.
