Seahawks player won’t talk about his injuries in detail

One of the Seattle Seahawks’ top players should be back on the field on Sunday.

Despite missing his first NFL game in five years last week, star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf should be back on the field soon.

The former Ole Miss standout was practicing on the field in pads and helmet on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a rib injury in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, with a home game against the Cleveland Browns scheduled.

Thus, when questioned about the severity of the hip ailment that sidelined him against the Arizona Cardinals, he declined to provide specifics and advised the media to speak with head coach Pete Carroll instead (via Aaron Levine).

After being a limited participant in Friday’s practice, the wide receiver was anticipated to play in the divisional battle despite being listed as questionable; but, the team ultimately chose to play it safe with him.

After his 71-game streak was snapped on Sunday, Coach Carroll later verified that Metcalf would, in fact, return to the field to play the Browns. He’ll be looking to begin a new streak of games played.

The 49ers have lost two straight games, and the Seahawks are aware that the division is wide open.

Because of this, they can’t afford to miss any opportunities to start their top players, especially when they play the Browns at Lumen Field, where it’s anticipated that P.J. Walker would start at center rather than Deshaun Watson.
