Seahawks’ Geno Smith praises duo as “two of the best” LBs in the modern NFL

For the second straight week, quarterback Geno Smith of the Seattle Seahawks will take against a defense ranked in the top five. In Week 9, Seattle will play the Baltimore Ravens, whose defense now leads the NFL in points allowed per game (15.1).

Each of Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen has been essential to Baltimore’s outstanding defensive performance this season. For the current AFC North leaders, Smith and Queen have epitomized versatility, whether it’s in coverage or just pressuring the passer.

Smith is well aware that stopping the Ravens’ explosive linebacker tandem is essential if the Seahawks are to win in Week 9.

Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen are “two of the best linebackers in the game,” Smith stated at a press conference held prior to Week 9. Guys who are merely flying around while performing plays. Overall, though, they just play well together and don’t make many mistakes.

“They rob major plays. They seem to excel at a lot of things.

Smith is eager to take on the Ravens’ formidable front seven, as he is not one to back down from a difficult task.

“Another great opportunity for us to go out there against another really good defense,” Smith stated.

For the first time since the 2020 campaign, the Seahawks want to get to 6-2. For the first time in four years, though, the Ravens want to claim a 7-2 record.
