Seahawks activate a cornerback and make two other moves

In a simultaneous move, the Seattle Seahawks activated CB Coby Bryant from injured reserve and placed S Jerrick Reed II on injured reserve.

In addition, Seattle promoted QB Brett Rypien from the practice squad to the active roster.

Bryant was placed on injured reserve in October due to a toe injury. Meanwhile, Reed tore his ACL in Week 11.

Bryant, 24, was selected by the Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $4,467,808 million rookie contract that includes a fully guaranteed $807,808 salary.

Bryant has appeared in and started two games for the Seahawks in 2023. On the season, he has 11 total tackles.

Reed, a four-year starter for New Mexico, was named first-team all-conference in 2020. He was selected by the Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

He is in the first year of a four-year, $4.014 million rookie contract that includes a $174,800 signing bonus.

Reed appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks in 2023, recording 11 total tackles.
