Sam Pittman intends to remain in Arkansas for a long period

Sam Pittman has told prospects and existing players on the team that he intends to stay as head coach at Arkansas for a very long time, despite the unending speculation and worry.

After Arkansas’ 48-10 home loss to Auburn on Saturday, there has been a lot of conjecture on the internet regarding head coach Sam Pittman’s future with the team and his employment status. Pittman acknowledged on Monday that he and his squad cannot ignore the clamor surrounding them. As a result, the coaching staff of the Razorbacks had to take matters into their own hands and have started talking to players and recruits about the situation.

The Razorbacks still have two games left in their season after being declared ineligible for bowl games. Pittman believes he has plenty of time left at Arkansas and doesn’t anticipate any changes happening very soon.

“I think it’s hard, obviously, to block out all noise,” Pittman stated. “We have work to do. That is to prepare every single week. Upon arriving, Jamie and I intended to continue instructing here until the predetermined date when we would head to Hot Springs and end the day. I’m not close to that year right now, and the plan is to get this program back to where it deserves to be and stay here as long as we possibly can.

However, it’s challenging to ignore sounds. It’s more geared for the recruiters, the children. Many terrible things happen once it starts, and recruiting takes center stage. Hunter Yurachek and I are aware of what is happening, but nobody else is truly aware of it. It’s a viewpoint. They are genuinely unaware of what is happening. However, we also spent a lot of time yesterday with our recruits, because it impacts them. My task is to prepare for FIU. My job security is not a concern of mine at all. Furthermore, I aspire to be a long-term resident of the university and believe I’m the right candidate.”

As one could expect, recruits and their families had many questions due to the deluge of rumors and conjecture around Pittman’s employment situation. This extends to the current locker room, where seasonal classic The Polar Express was recently playing. Nevertheless, Pittman thinks the talks he’s had with relevant parties since the game on Saturday have gone well.

“It hasn’t been tough at all”, according to Pittman. “Of course, we speak with our children every day. Because of all the commotion yesterday, I am aware that the defensive staff spoke with every player on the team as well as the recruits”. Why you would quit the University of Arkansas is beyond me. We raise our children the way that they should be raised. We anticipate they’ll receive an education. It’s also a fantastic location and an excellent place to pursue a degree. I would be clueless as to why they would wish to depart.

“It seemed to go smoothly. Nothing new has been said that I’ve heard. There is nothing we can do about what others write. I only hope the truth gets written. not a viewpoint. You should fire a man if that is what you’re suggesting. The hardest issue is probably that we can’t deal with [false] things since both the parents and the children think they’re true. But see, we have to fight our way out of this predicament because we put ourselves in it.”
