The latest Wolves transfer news involves a player connected with a move to Molineux, and Celtic answers to the talk.

Wolves reported transfer target Jake Clarke-Slater has responded to reports that he could leave QPR this summer.

Earlier this week, it was rumored that Wolves and the five other teams interested in him would have to pay somewhere between £5 million and £7 million to sign him. According to sources, Celtic, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich Town, as well as Stoke City, are interested in the deal.

The 26-year-old was an important element of QPR’s team that ensured Championship survival. He appeared 33 times in the Championship this season, preserving ten clean sheets as the Hoops maintained their second-tier status.

Championship survival has been guaranteed, and Clarke-Salter has expressed intentions to join the Premier League with the West London team. He did not completely rule out a departure, but he expressed his satisfaction at Loftus Road.

Speaking to Football League World, he said: “When I left Chelsea, I was 24, and now I’m 26. I’m now aiming to establish my own legacy outside of Chelsea, as well as to advance my career and maybe make significant progress with QPR.

“My personal objective is to one day play in the Premier League, which I believe I am capable of achieving. Hopefully, I can achieve it with QPR; the club is on the rise, and there are some exciting days ahead.”

He added: “I don’t have Twitter or anything, so I don’t see any of the rumours; people may give them to me and so on, but I wasn’t really interested in anything at the time; it was just about ensuring QPR’s safety and playing as well as I could.

“Whatever happens this summer, we’ll see. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I’m quite happy with QPR and want to have a fantastic season next year.
